Firsts in Croke Park

Donegal's first appearance in Croke Park was on Sunday, 6th April 1952, when they were beaten in the National League semi-final by Cork on a score of 3-3 to 0-7. Four Letterkenny men played in that historic game: Con Halpin (goalkeeper), Pearse Dawson (fullback), Peadar McGeehin (left half back), and Charles 'Bovril' Collins (left half-forward).
